Twin Peaks Condo
San Francisco, California

The site for this new mixed-use commercial building in San Francisco, CA, marked by an acute triangular shape, was spurned by developers for a long period and relegated to being a parking lot. The plan for the project transforms the acutely angled corner into valuable space by forming sculptural and dynamic elements within the end units. A 10,000 sf restaurant composes the entire ground floor and occupies a portion of the second floor along with a parking garage, and a private garden terrace. The top 3 1/2 stories, allotted for condominium units, follow the Corbusian Marseilles block section. The project fills the void in the city block, providing a sense of urban repair and restoration (with MH-A).
